I’m stepping forward because our district needs a leader who takes bold action while bringing people together on common ground. From families in crisis to divided communities, I’ve spent my career helping people with different perspectives find solutions. As a mediator and problem solver, I’ve never backed down from tough issues or difficult conversations. Now, I’m ready to use those skills to build meaningful, collaborative policies in Austin that benefit the people of Hopkins, Hunt, and Van Zandt counties.
My roots in this community run deep, and my vision for our future is even deeper. When folks ask why I’m running as a Democrat in a red district, I say, “The party is the vehicle, but I’m in the driver’s seat!” In this car, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents are all welcome because we’re all driving toward the same destination: well-funded public schools, affordable healthcare, and a dignified life for every family. With a proven track record of helping families find hope in hard times, I’m ready to do the same for District 2.
